Rogan painting is an art of cloth painting practiced in the Kutch District of Gujarat, India. It gets its name from Rogan, which means oil-based cooking. This technique is achieved from thick brightly colored paint made by cooking natural pigments in castor seed oil. Potli is a member of Fairtrade Forum-India. We follow all Fairtrade practices laid down by the Forum. This kit directly supports the artisans and helps in sustaining their art form.
