Potli aims to reconnect children with Indian traditional art and craft through simple and fun approaches and at the same time, sustain these old art forms. Tholu Bommalata, Leather Shadow Puppets of Andhra Pradesh is a traditional craft and performing art that has existed since 200 BC. It's one of the oldest forms of Performing Arts in India. Traditionally, shadow puppets of epics like Ramayana and Mahabharat are made and stories narrated. Potli is a member of Fairtrade forum-India. We follow all Fairtrade practices laid down by the Forum This kit directly supports the artisans and helps in sustaining their art form. It promotes creativity, good stress buster, and nurtures minds and hearts.
Educational Objective
This kit encourages art integrated learning through non-digital and tactile play. This stimulates fine motor skills, creative thinking, and imaginative play while sharing the rich cultural heritage of India.
